Rumours that Ajay Devgn’s highly‑anticipated comedy, Golmaal 5, would hit Indian screens on 4 December 2026 have been officially dismissed by the film’s production house. Rohit Shetty Picturez released a statement clarifying that the alleged release date is “completely false and baseless.” The makers said the speculation has no foundation and urged media outlets to refrain from publishing unverified reports.
The clarification came after a flurry of reports suggested that Golmaal 5 would replace the film Ranger on the December release calendar, creating a three‑way clash with Prabhas’ Fauzi and an untitled Akshay Kumar project directed by Anees Bazmee. The statement emphasized that the team is focused on finishing the movie and will only share official updates through its own channels.
In the spokesperson’s words, “We have come across speculation regarding the release date of our upcoming film, Golmaal 5. We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false and baseless.” The production house added that any information about the film, including its release date, will be communicated only through official announcements.
Rohit Shetty, who has directed the previous four installments, is steering the new chapter of the franchise. Ajay Devgn leads the cast, joined by returning actors Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, and Tusshar Kapoor. The film also introduces Akshay Kumar in a major role, while Sharman Joshi returns after appearing in the original 2006 Golmaal.
With the makers’ statement, the release plans for Golmaal 5 remain undisclosed. Fans of the series will have to wait for an official announcement before knowing when the comedy will debut on the big screen.
