Cinema VinesRumours are swirling that the popular horror‑comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa is set to return with a fourth instalment. According to a report published by Mid‑Day, producer Bhushan Kumar has already begun work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, with star Kartik Aaryan slated to reprise his role as the enigmatic Rooh Baba following the box‑office success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in 2024.
The article reveals that the screenplay for the new film is currently being developed, with the makers prioritising a solid script before finalising a director. If everything proceeds on schedule, production could start in the second half of 2027, though no official confirmation has yet been issued by the production house or any other source.
Mid‑Day also reports that Anees Bazmee, who helmed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, is expected to return as director of the fourth film. The original Bhool Bhulaiyaa was directed by Priyadarshan, but Bazmee’s direction has recently revitalised the series.
Until a formal announcement is made—likely after the screenplay is complete and the director is officially locked—details about the cast, crew, and production schedule remain speculative. The franchise’s future is still unconfirmed, and fans should treat the information as unverified.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has a busy slate of projects lined up. He is set to appear in Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, slated for a 2026 release, and in an untitled romantic drama by Anurag Basu opposite Sreeleela. He is also attached to Captain India, directed by Shimit Amin, and an untitled sports drama with Kabir Khan.
