Katrina Kaif NOT returning with Prabhas' Spirit; casting reports dismissed as 'completely inaccurate'

Katrina Kaif’s return to the silver screen has been a topic of intense speculation among fans, especially after her recent pregnancy announcement in September 2025 and the birth of her son in November of the same year. The actress’s last theatrical outing, Merry Christmas (2024) with Vijay Sethupathi, left audiences eager for her next move.

Rumours recently surfaced that Kaif had been cast opposite Telugu superstar Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming action drama Spirit. The reports claimed the film would mark her return to Telugu cinema after almost twenty years, sparking excitement across the fan base.

However, an insider source has officially denied the claims, describing them as “completely inaccurate and misleading.” The source added, “There is absolutely no truth to the claims being made about Katrina Kaif’s future acting plans. The report is based entirely on speculation and misinformation, with no verification.” This statement effectively ends the current wave of speculation linking the actress to the project.

“Spirit” has long been a focal point for casting chatter since its announcement. Over the years, rumours have linked a range of stars to the film, including the couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. The project also faced a high‑profile exit when Deepika Padukone reportedly left the cast over remuneration and working conditions, only to be replaced by Tripti Dimri, who had previously worked with Vanga on Animal.

In addition to Prabhas and Dimri, Spirit features Vivek Oberoi in a pivotal role. The film is slated for a theatrical release on March 5, 2027, and remains one of Vanga’s most anticipated releases.
