Vikrant Massey has just wrapped the final stage of his work on the upcoming thriller White, completing the dubbing process for the film. The actor, who has recently delivered strong performances in Pritam And Pedro and Musafir Cafe, is now turning his focus to what he describes as his most ambitious project yet.
In a statement shared with Bollywood Hungama on the occasion of Guru Purnima, producer Mahaveer Jain praised the movie as “a precious gift from India to the world.” Jain added that the film arrives at a time when global audiences are searching for solutions to conflict, and that White offers a narrative that points the way forward.
Jain also highlighted Massey’s performance, saying the actor has “outdone himself” in portraying the global spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He believes the combination of Massey’s portrayal and the film’s profound message will captivate viewers around the globe.
Set against a political backdrop, White is a thriller that draws inspiration from the world’s longest and deadliest conflict – the internal war in Colombia – and its resolution by an Indian spiritual master through wisdom. The film boasts an international crew, with cinematography by Juan Carlos Gil, known for his work on Narcos, and features actors such as Mexican star Darío Yazbek Bernal and Panamanian actor Jaime Newball.
The project is directed by acclaimed ad filmmaker Montoo Bassi and supported by leading filmmaker Siddharth Anand, PeaceCraft Pictures, and Mahaveer Jain. White is slated for a global release later this year, with screenings in multiple international and Indian languages scheduled for the last quarter.
