Cinema VinesIn a recent episode of the comedy series India’s Got Latent season 2, comedian Samay Raina sparked a buzz with a sharp joke about stand‑up star Munawar Faruqui’s second marriage. The episode, released exclusively on the show’s YouTube channel, saw Raina riffing on Faruqui’s marital history while drawing a parallel to Bollywood icon Aamir Khan. The remarks came amid a lively discussion about the new film Bhai Tera Star Hai, which Raina announced would hit theaters on July 30.
During the segment, Raina urged viewers to watch the film in cinemas, warning against streaming it on OTT platforms even if rain made outdoor viewing difficult. He said, “But jokes aside, my movie—Bhai Tera Star Hai is releasing on July 30th. It’s coming to theatres, so go and watch it! And if it’s pouring rain and you’re thinking of just watching it at home on OTT, please don’t do that, man.” Raghav Juyal, one of the film’s stars, quickly clarified that the movie would not be available on OTT from August 1, adding, “It’s not coming to OTT on August 1st. Seriously, don’t say that! Wow, that’s great news! The movie Bhai Tera Star Hai is releasing only in theaters. You have to watch it in the theater; it’s not coming to OTT.”
When Raina challenged Juyal with a playful bet, the actor compared his theatrical‑only strategy to Aamir Khan’s approach, stating, “I am playing the game just like Aamir Khan Sir. Come straight to the theatre; watch it only in the theatre.” Raina then delivered the punchline, “Aamir Sir’s game is like what Munawar Faruqui has played.” The line was a nod to Faruqui’s two marriages, contrasting them with Khan’s three, and it quickly became a topic of online discussion.
The episode also featured actor Niharika NM, who was present to promote her film Bhai Tera Star Hai. Raina’s joke came at a time when the show itself had faced controversy earlier in the year after host Ranveer Allahbadia made comments about parents and sex, leading to the removal of several episodes from the platform. In 2026, Raina announced the second season of the series during his comedy routine “Still Alive,” promising fresh content for fans.
