Ram Charan, the celebrated Telugu actor known as the Mega Power Star, is on the road to recovery after a successful hand surgery. The procedure, carried out at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, was performed by a team led by Chief Dr. S. Rajasekharan, with specialists Dr. Alessandro Badia and Dr. Praveen Bharadwaj. The operation was described as a “complicated procedure but was managed with precision laparoscopically,” according to a source close to the case.
The injury occurred during the filming of the action‑heavy scene in the upcoming movie Peddi, where Charan sustained a right wrist injury while performing a wrestling sequence. Despite the pain, the actor chose to continue with promotional activities for the film, delaying the surgery until after his commitments were fulfilled.
After the operation, a photo of Charan smiling from his hospital bed went viral on social media, sparking a wave of well‑wishes from fans worldwide. The image, shared with the hashtag #GetWellSoonRamCharan, trended on X and was widely circulated across platforms. Fans celebrated the successful surgery and the actor’s resilient spirit.
Vriddhi Cinemas, the production house behind Peddi, released a statement expressing gratitude for the actor’s dedication. The statement read: “We are happy to know that our beloved Mega Power Star Ram Charan Garu has successfully undergone wrist surgery for an injury sustained during the shoot of Peddi. Despite the discomfort, he continued shooting and completed crucial portions of the film with remarkable dedication and commitment. His passion, perseverance, and unwavering professionalism have been truly inspiring to the entire team. We are glad to know that he is doing well. We wish him a smooth and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in the best of health very soon.”
Charan’s family, including his wife Upasana and mother Surekha, have been by his side in Coimbatore during his convalescence. Reports indicate that he has been advised to rest for eight weeks to ensure full healing. Doctors have declared him fit to return to work once the recovery period is complete.
