Television actress Avika Gor has returned to the popular stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi after a seven‑year hiatus, re‑joining the competition in its 15th season. Gor first appeared on the show in season 9 in 2019, where a tear‑gas stunt forced her elimination and left a lasting emotional scar.
In a recent interview with ANI, the 28‑year‑old explained that while the current season still demands physical and mental toughness, the challenges feel less daunting because she has already faced the most terrifying stunts before. “This is not an easy show anyway. It’s very challenging. But for me, my earlier season was much more difficult,” she said. She added that watching other contestants suffer injuries or emotional breakdowns was “not really easy” and made her feel emotional.
Gor’s asthma has been a persistent concern whenever a gas‑based stunt is on the line. In season 9, a tear‑gas challenge ended her run, and she described it as a trauma that has lingered since. “Since my childhood, I’ve had asthma. For me, tear gas stunts are not usually great because they all require strong lungs and good breathing,” she told ANI. “So this time when I was supposed to do a stunt like that, I kind of knew that even if I try my best, it’s not going to be as good as the others because my lungs, it’s something that’s not in my control.”
Despite the physical hurdles, Gor credits her fellow contestants for their support. She highlighted friends Jasmin Bhasin and Rubina Dilaik for standing by her throughout the competition, as well as Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Wahi for constant encouragement. The show, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, is airing on Colors and streaming simultaneously on JioHotstar.
Outside the arena, Gor is preparing for a new Punjabi music video that is set to drop on August 7. She also hinted at additional projects, including a possible return to television, suggesting that her career is poised for further expansion beyond the stunt arena.
