Prime Video is set to launch the second installment of the Tamil crime thriller series Vadhandhi on Friday, August 7, 2026. Titled Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani, the new season follows the success of its predecessor and introduces a fresh mystery set in rural Madurai. The series is written and directed by Andrew Louis, who also crafted the dialogue, and it will run for eight episodes.
The cast features M. Sasikumar in a pivotal role, joined by Anagha Maruthora, Yashwanth, Aparna Das, Revathy Sharma, Vivek Prasanna and Arjun Nandhakumar. Production is led by Gowtham Selvaraj, S. Guhapriya and S. Nandakumar under the Wallwatcher Films banner, with creative producers Pushkar and Gayatri overseeing the project.
The storyline centers on a murder investigation that begins when skeletal remains are discovered at a highway site. Inspector Moosa Raaza is called in to unravel the case, only to find a potential link to a prisoner named Mani. Mani’s refusal to cooperate adds a layer of complexity, leaving the police scrambling for answers as hidden details emerge.
With its premiere just three days away from the article’s publication date, viewers can expect the series to dive deep into the mystery surrounding Mani and the homicide investigation. Further insights into character dynamics and plot twists will unfold as the season streams on Prime Video later this week.
