No Shah Rukh Khan cameo in Allu Arjun-Atlee's Raaka; production continues

Rumours have circulated that Shah Rukh Khan would appear in a cameo in Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film Raaka, with some reports even suggesting the actor’s scenes would be shot abroad. Bollywood Hungama has denied the claim, stating that the film contains no cameo for the superstar and that SRK was never approached for a role.

According to sources close to the project, Atlee has a good relationship with Khan and would welcome a collaboration, but the reports about a cameo are baseless. The production of Raaka is moving ahead in multiple short schedules, with an action‑packed block finished just last week. The next leg is set to begin tomorrow in Mumbai, where Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone will shoot key sequences.

The team is prioritising the completion of Deepika’s principal photography before she takes her maternity break next month. Filming is expected to conclude by the end of the year, paving the way for a theatrical release slated for late 2027. In light of the film’s expansive storyline, the makers are also considering splitting Raaka into two parts.

Raaka is billed as a large‑scale fantasy actioner set in a parallel universe and features a pan‑India ensemble that includes Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna and Janhvi Kapoor, with Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. The Sun Pictures production is progressing under the direction of Atlee.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is set to begin the final overseas schedule of his film King later this month. The Siddharth Anand actioner is nearing completion and is on track for a Christmas 2026 release.
