Cinema VinesAfter a run in theatres that began on 19 June 2026, Vijay Antony’s Tamil drama Nooru Saami has now moved to the digital arena. The film will be available for streaming on the ZEE5 platform from 7 August 2026, giving audiences who missed the cinema release or who prefer home viewing a chance to experience the story of a widowed mother’s struggle between tradition and personal desire.
Nooru Saami is written and directed by Sasi and produced under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, with Meera Vijay Antony serving as the presenter. The cast is headed by Vijay Antony himself, joined by Swasika, Ajay Dhishan and Sakthi in leading roles. Supporting performances feature Lijomol Jose, Karunas, Kavya Anil, Balaji Sakthivel, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Padini Kumar, Jenson Dhivakar, Bucks, Vinodhini, Thamarai, Kodangi Vadivelu, Muthualagi, Saratha, Sabitha Roy, Abinaya, Moorthy and Subramania Siva.
The narrative centers on Selvi, a widowed mother who devotes her life to raising her two sons in a conservative village. As her own unfulfilled life resurfaces, she confronts long‑standing traditions and faces a choice between societal expectations and her own happiness. The film’s themes explore family dynamics, personal choices and social expectations within a rural setting.
Behind the scenes, cinematography is handled by S. B. Darshan Kirlosh and editing by Harish Yuvaraj. Music is composed by Balaji Sriram, with lyrics by Mohan Rajan and the soundtrack released under the Think Music label. Production design is credited to V. Sasi Kumar, while action choreography is by Ramkumar. Sound design and mixing are managed by Vijay Rathinam MPSE and A. M. Rahmathullah respectively, and costume design is by Durga Priya. Viji Satheesh choreographs, and Ramkumar also serves as stunt master. Visual effects are provided by D Note VFX and Paperplane VFX Studio.
