Akanksha Chamola seeks Meta India help for Instagram username change; linked to ex-husband Gaurav Khanna

Akanksha Chamola, the actress best known for her roles in Santoshi Maa, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Crime Patrol, has announced that she and her husband, actor Gaurav Khanna, are divorcing. The news came during the premiere of the second season of the reality show Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa, where Chamola revealed that the couple has been living separately for the past year and that their relationship has reached an impasse. She stated that while they still communicate, they do not see a compatible future together and that the decision to part ways is mutual.

In a follow‑up Instagram story, Chamola requested help from Meta India to change her username. She wrote, “@meta @metaindia @instagram, seeking urgent assistance for username change. Due to the current verification‑related restrictions, we have been unable to change the username despite multiple attempts. We would appreciate it if your team could review the issue and advise on a possible resolution.” Her current handle, akankshagkhanna, is still linked to her ex‑husband, which she said is the reason for the appeal. The request was made public as she continued to manage her social media presence amid the divorce proceedings.

Chamola and Khanna were married in November 2016, following a courtship that began during an audition. Their wedding was a lavish three‑day affair held in Khanna’s hometown of Kanpur. The couple had been together for almost ten years before the announcement of their split. Chamola emphasized that the decision was not driven by conflict but by differing life goals and a lack of mutual compatibility.

During the Lock Upp premiere, Chamola also disclosed that she does not wish to have children. She explained that she lacks the maternal instinct and that her decision is based on personal preference rather than any external pressure. She noted that many people marry to start families, but she feels that this is not the right path for her and her former spouse.

While the couple’s divorce is now public, both Chamola and Khanna have chosen to keep the details of their separation private. The actress has continued to engage with her audience through social media, sharing updates about her personal life and her ongoing career in television and reality programming.
