Avika Gor Hospitalised; Battling Dengue Despite 104 Fever

Television actress Avika Gor was admitted to hospital after five days of relentless fever, with her husband Milind Chandwani confirming on Instagram that the actress had been diagnosed with dengue. The couple posted a video on Friday in which Milind explained that Avika’s body temperature had spiked to 103–104 degrees, yet she continued to honour her professional commitments.

According to Milind, Avika had first gone to a set where two days of shooting were still pending. Despite her high fever, she performed so well that the crew managed to wrap up the shoot in a single day. After a brief two‑day break, during which she lay in bed and struggled to eat, she travelled to Delhi for an ad shoot while still battling the fever. She was tested before the shoot, and the results returned a dengue diagnosis after her return to Mumbai.

Milind praised Avika’s dedication, noting that she repeatedly declined to postpone work, saying, “Someone will suffer a loss, someone’s time will be wasted, someone’s money will be lost. I don’t want that. I’ll do as much as I can.” He added that she had “never understood where someone gets so much love for their work from” and that her respect for the craft and for others’ time was rare in the industry.

A member of Avika’s team who travelled with her to Delhi revealed that the actress was unable to stand properly but still showed up for the shoot. The team member said Avika survived on ORS and was unable to eat during that time. Industry friends, including Ruhaanika Dhawan, praised her resilience, with Dhawan writing, “More power to this powerhouse. Lover her.” Fans also flooded social media with wishes for a speedy recovery and urged people to keep Avika in their prayers.

Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani first met in Hyderabad through mutual friends while working together. They confirmed their relationship publicly in 2020, with Milind described as the “love of her life.” After nearly five years of dating, the couple got engaged in June 2025 and married in September 2025, holding their wedding celebrations on the sets of their shows.
