Siddharth Supports Students in CJP Protest; Refuses Permission from Anyone

Bollywood actors Dia Mirza and Siddharth joined the wave of support for the CJP protest that has been demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and calling for sweeping educational reforms after the leak of the NEET examination paper. The demonstration, which gathered momentum at Jantar Mantar, attracted a large crowd of students and activists who voiced their frustration over the alleged misuse of power by the ministry.

Both actors, who recently appeared together in the film Operation Safed Sagar, used their platforms to back the movement. Siddharth told News18 that he never needed anyone’s permission to speak out on national issues, adding, “I didn’t need anyone’s permission when I started speaking. I don’t need anyone’s permission to continue speaking.” He emphasized that the youth will always be the voice of change, and that older generations should learn from their energy and perspective.

Dia Mirza echoed this sentiment in an Instagram post, describing the day as one that “revealed many truths” and praising the thousands who marched to demand accountability, transparency and reform in the education system. She condemned the use of force against peaceful protesters, including women and children, and expressed both hope and anger at the situation.

In an interview with We Are Yuvaa, Siddharth linked the students’ struggle to the leaked exam papers, stating that no family should ever lose a child over such controversies. He defended the right of public figures to voice personal beliefs and urged netizens to stop hating artists for expressing their views.

The combined voices of Mirza and Siddharth highlight a growing trend of celebrities taking a stand on political and social issues, urging the public to recognize the importance of youth activism and the need for systemic change in India’s education sector.
