Nayanthara Praises Yash's Work Ethic; Attends Toxic Trailer Release Event

The much‑anticipated Kannada action drama "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown‑Ups" finally revealed its official trailer on Saturday, drawing a crowd of stars and crew at the release event. Among the attendees was actress Nayanthara, who rarely appears at pre‑release promotional functions for her own projects. She stepped onto the stage and offered a heartfelt tribute to the film’s lead, Yash, calling him the most hardworking actor she has ever worked with.

Nayanthara explained that her decision to attend was driven solely by Yash’s invitation. "It’s not that I don’t want to attend promotional events… I’m just not good at them, so I usually stay away. But this was special because of so many reasons, and I think it was just Yash. He made a call and that was enough for me to be here," she said. She went on to recount her first meeting with the actor, noting how his larger‑than‑life persona matched the iconic Rocky Bhai character he portrayed in the blockbuster KGF franchise.

She praised Yash’s work ethic, describing him as a “monster‑mind creation” who has devoted four and a half years of his life to the film. "Every single day on set I am amazed at the way he works. He has sacrificed his life, his time, everything he would enjoy with his kids, but he is just about work," Nayanthara added. Her comments highlighted the dedication that has become a hallmark of Yash’s career.

"Toxic" was written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas. It stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The film began production in 2024 after being announced in 2023, and it was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Audiences can expect the movie to hit theatres on August 26.
