Don’t Be Shy stars host Gen‑Z Q&A; Mumbai college students get front‑row access

The cast of the Hindi coming‑of‑age rom‑com Don’t Be Shy is heading to Thakur College in Mumbai for a post‑release Q&A with a Gen‑Z audience. The event, scheduled after the film’s worldwide debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 25, 2026, will allow students to watch the movie first and then engage directly with the young leads.

Lead actors Aarushi Bajaj (Shyamili “Shy” Das), Piyush Khati (Mayank), Bianca Arora (Tara) and Ansh Duggal (Dhruv) will answer questions about their characters, performances and the overall production process. The four performers, who form the core of the film’s youthful ensemble, are set to share insights into what it was like to work on a debut feature for director Sreeti Mukerji, who co‑wrote the screenplay with Sehaj Kaur Maini.

In addition to the main cast, the film features veteran actors Anurag Basu as Shy’s father, Neha Dhupia, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Anju Alva Naik in supporting roles. Production company Eternal Sunshine Productions, headed by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, also secured a cameo from Bhatt herself in the song “Re Bawri.”

This interaction marks the first media‑facing conversation for the cast since the movie’s premiere, offering a unique opportunity for students to discuss the film’s themes and their own reactions after viewing it. The format is designed as a direct exchange, encouraging the young audience to ask questions and share their thoughts on the film’s portrayal of contemporary youth culture.

Fans of the movie can expect a lively session that highlights the film’s blend of romance, humor and the challenges of growing up in modern India. The event underscores the growing trend of filmmakers engaging Gen‑Z audiences through campus outreach and interactive discussions.
