Hindi‑film fans have a fresh romance to look forward to as director Anurag Basu’s next musical, starring Kartik Aaryan and newcomer Sreeleela, is slated for theatrical release on 30 April 2027. The untitled project, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T‑Series, promises an original love story where music drives the narrative, with composer Pritam set to deliver the soundtrack.
For Kartik Aaryan, the film marks his second collaboration with Basu after the successful “Aashiqui” series, while for Sreeleela it is a significant milestone: her first leading role in a Hindi film. The actress, who has built a reputation in Telugu and Kannada cinema, first attracted national attention with her appearance in the Hindi track “Kissik” from Pushpa 2.
Promotional material so far has shown Kartik in a rugged singer or rock‑star persona, strumming a guitar, and the teaser has hinted at a romantic pairing with Sreeleela. Although the project has been rumored to carry the title “Tu Meri Zindagi Hai,” no official title has yet been announced.
The release window is strategically clear; no other major Hindi releases are scheduled for 30 April 2027, giving the film a comfortable lead before the cluster of May releases such as “Lag Jaa Gale,” “Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor,” and the biopic “DADA.” It comes a few weeks after SS Rajamouli’s “Varanasi,” which opens on 7 April.
Industry insiders note that the film’s timing could boost box‑office potential, especially with the fresh on‑screen pairing and Basu’s proven storytelling combined with Pritam’s musical sensibilities. The project is therefore seen as a key entry for Sreeleela’s Bollywood debut and a potential hit for Kartik Aaryan’s growing fan base.
