Bigg Boss Goes Pan-India with Six Simultaneous Editions; Launching in September 2026

JioStar is poised to launch the most ambitious Bigg Boss season yet, with six language editions—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bangla—airing simultaneously from September 2026 on its JioStar television network and JioHotstar. The move aims to bring the reality‑show franchise to audiences nationwide at the same time, a first for the series.

The six editions will be helmed by a roster of high‑profile personalities. Salman Khan will lead the Hindi version, while Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa, and Mohanlal will anchor the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam editions respectively. Adding a fresh twist, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will host the Bangla edition, marking his debut in the Bigg Boss family.

JioStar has also unveiled a coffee‑table book titled India’s Bigg Reality, the first of its kind to chronicle the franchise’s two‑decade journey, cultural impact, and the legacy it has built across the country. The book compiles data, audience insights, and brand case studies, illustrating how Bigg Boss has evolved from a reality show into a major entertainment and marketing platform.

According to JioStar, the franchise attracted over 500 million viewers in 2025 and accumulated more than 438 billion viewing minutes across its six language editions. Engagement rose 47 percent year‑on‑year, and the show partnered with 625 brands across 46 categories, including 49 first‑time advertisers. On JioHotstar, 60 percent of viewers tuned into the 24‑hour live feed, giving brands continuous visibility through integrations and sponsorships.

Mahesh Shetty, Head of Entertainment Sales, TV at JioStar, said, “Over the last two decades, Bigg Boss has consistently reinvented itself, growing in scale, engagement and cultural relevance with every season. This festive season marks our biggest milestone yet as six editions come together across languages, making it the biggest‑ever celebration of the show. The enduring strength of Bigg Boss lies in its ability to drive sustained audience participation and create shared cultural moments that translate into measurable business outcomes for brands.”

The book showcases examples of innovative brand collaborations, such as Snack’s drone delivery activation, Vaseline‑themed tasks, a branded elevator, and the Spy Kuttan robot, demonstrating how companies have leveraged the show to deepen audience engagement.
