Swiss luxury watchmaker Jaeger‑LeCoultre has announced that Indian actor Ahaan Panday will join its ranks as a “Friend of the House,” a title that underscores the brand’s appreciation for creative collaboration. The appointment comes through the brand’s interview series, The Hour Before, which delves into the experiences and influences that shape artistic talent.
In the newly released episode, Panday visits the Jaeger‑LeCoultre Manufacture‑Atelier in the Vallée de Joux, where he watches a Reverso watch case being assembled. While the camera captures the meticulous craftsmanship, the actor discusses his own journey into filmmaking and the roles he played behind the camera before stepping in front of the lens. His debut film, Saiyaara (2025), earned him widespread recognition after a successful box‑office run.
Jaeger‑LeCoultre highlighted the parallels between watchmaking and filmmaking, noting that both disciplines demand teamwork, precision, and years of practice. “We are delighted to welcome Ahaan Panday to the Jaeger‑LeCoultre family,” said CEO Jérôme Lambert. “Ahaan embodies a distinctive sensibility, shaped by curiosity, purpose and a constant desire to evolve. His journey reflects a conviction we deeply share at the Maison: that excellence is cultivated over time, through dedication, precision and an enduring commitment to one’s craft.”
The episode also touches on Panday’s personal style, which blends classic tailoring with relaxed silhouettes, and showcases the Reverso collection’s design heritage. Through The Hour Before, Jaeger‑LeCoultre continues to fuse conversations about watchmaking with the personal stories of creatives from various fields.
