The images quickly circulated on social media, sparking speculation that the pair were more than just friends.
Instead of issuing a formal statement, Sahiba chose to defuse the rumours with her trademark wit. In a playful Instagram Stories post, she shared the photo and added, “dont believe everything pt 2,” signalling that the dating chatter was unfounded.
She also addressed a separate online mix‑up when fans mistakenly identified her as actor Anushka Sharma in viral posts. Sahiba kept the tone light, turning the confusion into another moment of humour.
The couple is not the first to find themselves at the centre of celebrity gossip. Sahiba has previously tackled rumours involving comedians Samay Raina and Aaditya Kulshreshth with a similar breezy approach.
Lord’s also hosted several other Bollywood personalities, including Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan (who watched the game with his son Taimur), and former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni with his wife Sakshi.
England won the match by 27 runs, chasing a daunting 388 after India’s opening stand of 147 runs led by Rohit Sharma’s 138 off 110 balls.
