Arulvaan, a Tamil drama directed by Ganesh Vinayakan, hit the big screen on July 17. The film stars Arulnidhi as Muthuvel, a determined district collector, with Aarav, Ramya Pandian, Baby Krithika, Kaali Venkat, VTV Ganesh and John Vijay in supporting roles. The story follows Muthuvel’s mission to build a school in an isolated forest community after a young tribal girl appeals to him, and he faces administrative hurdles and local resistance along the way.
Music for the film was composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, while M. Sukumar handled cinematography. Editing was done by Lawrence Kishore and production design by Lalgudi. The soundtrack was supervised, recorded, mixed and mastered at Divine Labs by Jehovahson Alghar, with Roopash Tiwarai as assistant sound engineer and P. Rajamurugan as musicians’ assistant.
Following its release, early viewers flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to share their first‑day impressions. The social‑media chatter has sparked discussions across the platform, but the comments represent a small sample of the audience and may not reflect the film’s overall reception.
Industry observers expect a clearer picture of Arulvaan’s public response as more people watch it in theatres over the coming days. The film’s performance will ultimately be judged by wider audience feedback and box‑office numbers rather than the initial online reactions.
