On Wednesday, July 15, Atharvaa’s coming‑of‑age romance Idhayam Murali continued to perform steadily in theatres, adding a modest ₹1.25 crore to its India net tally on Day 6. The film, written, directed and produced by first‑time filmmaker Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, opened on July 10 and stars Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan and an ensemble of supporting actors.
According to box‑office tracking site Sacnilk, the Day 6 collection represents a 1.6 % lift over the previous day’s ₹1.23 crore. With the new figure, the movie’s India net earnings now total ₹13.18 crore, while the gross in India has reached ₹15.16 crore. Overseas receipts of ₹4 crore bring the worldwide gross to ₹19.16 crore after six days in cinemas.
The film’s strongest run came during its opening weekend. It debuted with ₹1.90 crore on Friday, climbed to ₹3.50 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹3.80 crore on Sunday. After the weekend, earnings fell to ₹1.50 crore on Monday and ₹1.23 crore on Tuesday, with Wednesday’s ₹1.25 crore showing a slight uptick.
Sacnilk’s occupancy data mirrors the earnings trend: the opening day saw 30 % occupancy, rising to 43 % on Saturday and 46 % on Sunday. Weekday occupancy dropped to 24 % on Monday, 22 % on Tuesday and 20 % on Wednesday.
In addition to Atharvaa, the cast features Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan, Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar, Pragya Nagra and others. A cameo by Fahadh Faasil adds a surprise element. The film marks Baskaran’s directorial debut, while composer Thaman S returns to acting after more than two decades. Cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai, editing by Pradeep E. Ragav, and production design by M.R. Karthik Rajkumar. Dialogues were written by Ramanagirivasan, with additional contributions from Baskaran and Dravid Selvam.
With the first week nearly complete, Idhayam Murali is edging toward the ₹20 crore worldwide milestone. Its performance over the coming days, especially during the second weekend, will clarify the film’s overall box‑office trajectory.
