Atharvaa’s debut feature, the Tamil coming‑of‑age romance Idhayam Murali, has continued its theatrical run, with the film’s earnings showing a modest slowdown after a strong opening weekend. The film opened on July 10 and is directed, written and produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner.

According to Sacnilk, a box‑office tracking site, the movie earned an estimated ₹1.23 crore net in India on Day 5 (Tuesday, July 14). That brings the film’s cumulative India net collection to ₹11.93 crore, while the gross in the domestic market stands at ₹13.72 crore. Overseas, the film has taken in ₹4 crore, giving a worldwide gross of ₹17.72 crore after five days.

Day‑by‑day figures show a gradual decline: Day 1 (Friday) net was ₹1.90 crore; Day 2 (Saturday) ₹3.50 crore; Day 3 (Sunday) ₹3.80 crore; Day 4 (Monday) ₹1.50 crore; and Day 5 (Tuesday) ₹1.23 crore. Tuesday’s earnings reflected an 18% drop from Monday’s ₹1.50 crore net, with occupancy slipping to 22% from 24% the day before.

The cast includes Atharvaa in the lead, supported by Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan, Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Pragya Nagra. Notably, Thaman S returns to acting after more than two decades, while also handling the film’s music. Fahadh Faasil makes a cameo appearance.

Behind the scenes, cinematography is shared by Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai, editing by Pradeep E. Ragav, and production design by M.R. Karthik Rajkumar. Dialogues were written by Ramanagirivasan, with additional contributions from Aakash Baskaran and Dravid Selvam.
