Bollywood star John Abraham has joined the ranks of Mumbai’s elite property buyers after acquiring a Bandra West bungalow for ₹84 crore, according to property registration documents revealed by Liases Foras. The deal, recorded on July 14, 2026, involved a 1,017.60‑square‑metre plot on St. Martin Road and an existing 193.12‑square‑metre house, plus a 31.50‑square‑metre outhouse. Abraham paid a stamp duty of ₹5.04 crore for the transaction.
The freehold property was sold by a quartet of owners—Naushir Eruch Divitre, Fredon Eruch Divitre, Crystal Firoz Divitre and Eruch Firoz Divitre—through a registered conveyance deed. Neither the actor nor the sellers have commented on the sale.
Abraham’s Bandra purchase follows a December 2023 deal in Khar, where he bought a 5,416‑square‑foot bungalow and its 7,722‑square‑foot plot for ₹70.83 crore, paying ₹4.24 crore in stamp duty. That transaction was registered on December 27, 2023.
The Mumbai real‑estate market remains hot for trophy homes, with recent sales underscoring the trend. Notandas Realty, backed by the Jagwani family, secured a Spanish‑style villa in Juhu—Villa Wilson—for ₹135 crore on July 13, 2026. Earlier, the iconic sea‑facing Leela bungalow in Juhu sold for ₹221 crore to the same developer.
These high‑profile deals highlight the scarcity of developable land in coveted neighbourhoods such as Bandra, Juhu and Malabar Hill, where each transaction commands a premium. Despite the steep prices, demand for luxury bungalows continues to rise, keeping the market dynamic and competitive.
