Akanksha Chamola on Gaurav Khanna's Lock Upp Visit; Feeling Uncomfortable with Ex's Surprise Appearance

In a recent episode of the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, actress Akanksha Chamola opened up about her growing discomfort with her estranged husband, Gaurav Khanna, who made an unannounced appearance on the set. The surprise visit, which came after the emotional reunion of Dheeraj Dhoopar’s wife Vinny Arora, left Chamola visibly unsettled. She admitted that she would have preferred to be greeted by a family member or even her dog, rather than the man she is currently divorcing.

Chamola, who announced the couple’s impending divorce during the show’s premiere, has been living separately from Khanna for almost a year. When Khanna stepped into the jail‑themed house to support her, he clarified that they remain legally married and have not yet filed for divorce. Despite this, Chamola’s candid remarks during a chat with Shreya Kalra and Shilpa Shinde painted a picture of a strained relationship. She described Khanna as a “stranger” and expressed that his presence was more uncomfortable for her than for him.

During the conversation, Kalra shared her longing for a boyfriend’s visit, to which Chamola responded with a joke about her ex, noting that “it would have been better if someone from my family came to meet me, instead of him.” She went on to say, “I would have preferred if my mother or father had come, or even my dog.” The comment sparked laughter among the panelists and highlighted Chamola’s desire for personal comfort amid the show’s drama.

Chamola and Khanna first met during an audition and married on 24 November 2016 in a lavish three‑day celebration in Kanpur, Khanna’s hometown. Their marriage, which began with a promising romance, has now become a focal point of Chamola’s public narrative, especially after her recent revelations about her sexuality and the divorce process.

Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, Lock Upp places celebrities inside a jail‑themed house, forcing them to confront personal issues while competing for rewards. Chamola’s recent disclosures have added another layer of intrigue to the show, as viewers watch her navigate the complexities of a public divorce while maintaining her professional commitments.
