Lock Upp, the Netflix reality series hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, is poised to revive a rivalry that first captured audiences in 2017’s Bigg Boss 11. Shilpa Shinde, the eventual winner of that season, and Hina Khan, the runner‑up, were locked in a series of heated confrontations over chores, strategy and personal remarks. Now, nearly nine years later, Shinde has joined the Lock Upp house while Khan will make a guest appearance on the forthcoming Judgement Day episode, sparking anticipation among fans who want to see the two clash once more.
The upcoming episode’s promo shows Khan and her co‑guest Uorfi Javed entering the house as “Janta Ki Awaaz.” Together they interrogate the inmates—Harshad Chopda, Shilpa Shinde, Varun Yadav (known as Laila), Pamala Serena and Sufi Motiwala—about who they deem the most dangerous. Most respondents name Shinde, prompting Harshad to comment that “she makes remarks that provoke anyone.” Khan counters, “That’s Shilpa Shinde, ladies and gentlemen,” and then cautions the contestants that they are “acting innocent while putting someone else on a pedestal.” She warns them that if someone is a king, the others are merely kingmakers and advises them not to “serve everything on a platter.”
Apoorva Mukhija, who recently entered the show as an informant, is seen encouraging a showdown between the two former rivals. The tension is further inflamed by a recent social media exchange in which Shinde accused a producer of the show “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain” of sexual harassment, a claim she later denied. Hina criticized Shinde on Twitter and called for strict action against her, reigniting old animosities.
Lock Upp features a star‑studded lineup that includes Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Shreya Kalra, Harshad Chopda, Akanksha Chamola and Pamala Serena, among others. The series airs on Netflix every Saturday to Thursday at 8 pm, and the winner will walk away with a ₹1 crore cash prize.
