Indian star Salman Khan, who celebrated his 60th birthday last week, took to Instagram to showcase a late‑night workout session that has already become a talking point among fans. The Bollywood icon posted two photos of himself in a gym, standing before a mirror with a towel wrapped around his head. The images highlighted his well‑defined abs and a noticeably chiseled physique, prompting admirers to gush over his fitness achievements at the age of six decades.
What drew the most attention, however, was the cryptic caption that accompanied the pictures. Khan wrote, “Salman Khan darrrrr Gaya…. Hmmmm Joe darr gaya vo mar gaya..” which translates roughly to, “Salman Khan got scared… Hmm… the one who gets scared is as good as dead.” The remark sparked speculation that the actor was responding to critics who had accused him of being fearful after his recent comments supporting student protests.
Earlier this month, Khan had used his platform to back students involved in the CJP protest, which turned violent after a police lathi charge. He expressed sorrow over the escalation, praised the students’ dedication to education, and urged the government to take decisive steps to strengthen the country’s educational system. Some observers suggested that his supportive stance had made him a target of criticism, prompting the “got scared” post as a rebuttal.
In addition to the social media controversy, the actor’s upcoming film “Maatrubhumi” remains in limbo. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie was initially scheduled for an April 17 release. After the teaser was unveiled, it faced backlash from China’s Global Times for alleged factual distortion, and India’s Ministry of External Affairs clarified that it had no involvement in the project. The film, originally titled “Battle of Galwan,” was renamed to broaden its narrative scope beyond a single military clash.
