Divyendu and Ali Fazal Meme Ravi Kishan's Gucci Step; Stars Join in on Fun

At a recent promotional event for the upcoming film Mirzapur: The Movie, actors Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal and star Ravi Kishan sparked a new wave of social media buzz by reenacting Kishan’s famous “Gucci step.” The dance move, which has already become a meme sensation among Gen Z creators, was showcased in front of paparazzi as the trio interacted during the shoot’s press gathering.

Ravi Kishan, who is preparing for his antagonist role in the film, shared the moment with a playful grin. He first recreated the signature step with a photographer, then laughed when he saw Divyendu and Ali Fazal mirroring the move. The trio’s spontaneous choreography drew cheers from onlookers and added a light‑hearted touch to the event.

In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Kishan praised Gen Z for embracing him through memes. He said, “The best part is that this is happening organically. Even the BJP handle, Delhi Police and Maharashtra Government have made memes. I am personally following it all and dropping a ‘like’ as well.” He added, “Out of love, they call me Lord Ravi, God Ravi, today’s Osho and whatnot! They love real people; they connect with my imperfections, which makes them feel I am one amongst them.”

The film, directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, continues the story of the popular Prime Video series that debuted in 2018. Returning characters include Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Munna Bhaiya (Divyendu Sharma) and Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal). The role of Bablu Pandit, originally played by Vikrant Massey, will be taken over by Jitendra Kumar.

Vibha Maru, an Assistant Editor at Hindustan Times Entertainment, covered the event, noting the palpable excitement among the cast and the audience as they celebrated the viral trend that has turned a simple dance step into a cultural phenomenon.
