Rhiti Tiwari faces death and rape threats as Manoj Tiwari’s daughter; Bigg Boss 20 exposes the cost of fame

In a recent episode of the popular reality show Bigg Boss 20, Manoj Tiwari’s daughter, Rhiti Tiwari, opened up about the heavy toll that fame can exact. The 22‑year‑old singer, songwriter and producer, who has released singles such as “Baarish,” “Maansik Santulan,” “Jhoothi Baby” and “Ghum Chuke,” used the platform to reveal that she has received death and rape threats simply because of her father’s name. “I get death threats and rape threats because I am his daughter,” Rhiti told host Salman Khan, explaining how her opinions are often judged through the lens of her father’s reputation.

Rhiti said that the pressure of living up to the Tiwari legacy is constant. “Whatever I say, it will be like, ‘Manoj Tiwari’s daughter said this, she is like this,’” she explained, noting that people assume her views mirror her father’s. The actress also spoke candidly about how her parents’ separation and her own heartbreak have shaped her view of relationships. She recalled watching her mother navigate life as a single parent, a experience she says has influenced her desire for autonomy.

During a conversation with fellow contestant Kanika Mann, Rhiti revealed that she has encountered controlling men in the past and is determined not to enter a relationship where someone exerts too much control over her life. “I want to work, earn for myself, and build my own identity,” she said. “But I have loved someone. My best friend and I have known each other for 20 years, and I was in love with him. Unfortunately, it ended in heartbreak recently.”

Rhiti, who has 16.5 K followers on social media, has built a music career independent of her father’s fame. She has released several singles on YouTube and Spotify and has expressed a strong desire to carve out her own path in the entertainment industry. Despite the challenges, she remains focused on her music and her personal growth.

Bigg Boss 20, hosted by Salman Khan, continues to attract a diverse cast, including singer Qazi Touqeer, actor Aasif Khan, Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, Aman Gandhi, rapper Yung DSA, YouTuber ScoutOp and reality TV star Gullu. The show, which is available on JioHotstar and Colors TV, features 16 contestants competing for the trophy this season.
