Salman Khan is heading into a demanding 50‑day stretch of filming for the action‑drama Monster, as the production moves into its final, most intense phase. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the Pan‑India venture is now focused on high‑stakes, close‑quarters combat sequences that will showcase the star in a raw, grounded style of action.
The shoot is based at a studio in Mira Road, where the team is concentrating on hand‑to‑hand battles that place Salman at the centre of the fray. This approach departs from the glossy visual effects that have been a hallmark of his earlier work, opting instead for a more visceral, realistic feel.
Principal photography began in Mumbai in mid‑April 2026, and the film has already covered a massive scale. In August, a six‑week schedule in Goregaon delivered large‑scale action set‑pieces, crowd scenes and an elaborate Afghan village set. A focused ten‑day combat‑training block followed in September, preparing the cast for the upcoming action sequences.
Balancing his commitments to Bigg Boss 20, Salman is keeping the project on track for a November wrap. Once filming concludes, the crew will shift straight into post‑production with the goal of an Eid 2027 theatrical release.
Produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, Monster features an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, Rahul Dev, Ronit Roy and Seema Biswas, alongside Salman Khan.
