Ranbir Kapoor Catches Conjunctivitis Ahead of Ramayana Trailer Event

Ranbir Kapoor is set to attend the grand launch of the Ramayana trailer in Delhi, despite recently contracting conjunctivitis. The eye infection, which the actor picked up after his daughter Raha Kapoor fell ill, has not deterred him from the much‑anticipated Pratham Sankalp event scheduled for July 24 at Bharat Mandapam.

According to NDTV, a source close to the film confirmed that Kapoor will not miss the launch. The actor is expected to take precautions during his public appearance, possibly wearing black glasses to protect his eyes. The source added that Kapoor is known for keeping his commitments and will likely appear at the event in full form.

In related news, the Ramayana trailer has just received a ‘U’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it suitable for viewers of all ages. The makers submitted two versions of the trailer for approval: a 4‑minute‑15‑second cut and a shorter 4‑minute version intended for theatrical screenings.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two‑part epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, with Sunny Deol portraying Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The first part is slated for release during Diwali 2026, with the second slated for Diwali 2027.

Fans can look forward to the Ramayana trailer launch at Bharat Mandapam, where the cast and crew will unveil the film’s visuals, perform live, and offer exclusive surprises in a 4,800‑seater ballroom. Despite his eye condition, Kapoor’s presence is expected to add star power to the event.
