Mumbai is preparing for a football‑filled night as fans gear up to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The match will kick off at 12:30 am IST on Monday from the New York‑New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the city’s restaurants, pubs and even the airport are arranging special events for supporters.
Across the city, venues are setting up big‑screen screenings and offering food and beverage promotions. Millo staff confirmed that they will show the final to guests and are running a 1+1 alcohol offer to celebrate. Other venues, such as Veranda Underground in Bandra, cannot host official screenings because the streaming platform has not granted permission, but they are still hosting match‑day gatherings with complimentary beer and food‑alcohol combos to keep the buzz alive.
The airport is also embracing the FIFA fever. An Instagram post from Adani Airports announced that passengers can watch the action before boarding, with screenings available at airports in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram and Jaipur.
Fans themselves are making plans to watch the final together. Kinshuk Sinha, an IT professional from Mumbai, said his group has watched many matches at home, but the final will be a group event. He added that each member supports different teams and has placed bets on their favourites, joking that those who back the losing side will have to foot the bill.
With a mix of city‑wide screenings, special offers and airport viewings, Mumbai is set to keep the excitement of the World Cup final alive, even as the match itself takes place across the Atlantic.
