Melanie C, better known as Sporty Spice, celebrated her marriage to Chris Dingwall with a lavish ceremony in the UK on Saturday that doubled as a reunion for the iconic Spice Girls. The event drew the majority of the former bandmates, including Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton, while Victoria Beckham was absent in person but still played a key role in the bride’s look.
Victoria’s influence was evident in the ivory satin slip dress worn by Mel C, a gown embroidered with Lyon lace and featuring a low back. Beckham explained to Vogue that she designed the dress to match Melanie’s minimalist style, stating, “Melanie is quite minimalist and didn’t want anything too fussy, conceptual or overly complicated – this is all very aligned with what I do.”
In addition to the UK celebration, Mel C had a private ceremony in Australia earlier in the week. For that event, she borrowed a dress from Victoria Beckham, continuing the “something borrowed” tradition that has long been part of wedding customs.
Complementing the dress, Mel C carried a champagne‑satin clutch and matching heels, completing a look that was both elegant and understated. The wedding, while intimate, showcased the enduring bond among the Spice Girls and highlighted Victoria Beckham’s ongoing influence in fashion and pop culture.
