Tom Holland’s Spider‑Man will hit Indian screens on July 30, 2026, a day before the film opens in several other international markets. The new instalment, titled Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, follows the web‑slinger as he struggles to keep his secret identity from the people who matter most to him.
The final trailer, released less than ten days before the premiere, shows Peter Parker living a lonely life in New York while his girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) and friend Ned (Jacob Batalán) no longer remember him. He almost confesses the truth to MJ but pulls back, deciding that perhaps it is better to stay hidden. The trailer then shifts to a dramatic transformation scene in which Hulk appears, with the line, “Dr Banner? No Banner, only Hulk!”
Director Destin Daniel Cretton’s film explores the toll of fighting crime full‑time when the world has moved on. The logline describes a “shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see,” suggesting a fresh, unseen adversary will test Peter’s resolve.
In addition to Holland and Zendaya, the cast includes Sadie Sink, Liza Colon‑Zayas, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Michael Mando returning as Scorpion. Production is led by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain as executive producers.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India has already opened advance bookings across the country. Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) for India, said the goal is to make Spider‑Man’s return a “grand cinematic experience” for fans. He added, “Spider‑Man holds a special place in the hearts of Indian audiences, and every new chapter becomes a shared celebration for fans across generations.”
With a focus on immersive theatrical presentation, the release strategy aims to give audiences the chance to secure tickets early and enjoy the action, emotion, and spectacle on premium large‑format screens.
