All Stars Club halts Sunday football after Tiger Shroff shooting; security protocols pending

All Stars Football Club has suspended its Sunday football sessions indefinitely after the shooting incident involving Bollywood star Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. The club’s founder, Bunty Walia, confirmed the halt following the cancellation of the October 25 session, stating that the decision was a precautionary measure until proper security protocols could be established.

Walia told News18 Showsha that the suspension would remain in effect “until we get the security protocols in place.” No specific date has been set for the resumption of the matches, and the club’s notice does not specify a deadline, leaving the sessions on hold until further notice.

The move comes after a shooting on the evening of October 18, 2026, in Juhu, Mumbai, where Shroff’s car was fired upon as it was leaving a football venue. Multiple rounds were fired at the vehicle, targeting the side where Shroff was seated. The actor escaped serious injury, but his driver suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and a bystander was also reported injured. Shroff took the wounded staff member to Nanavati Hospital.

Police investigations have involved multiple state units, and several suspects have been detained across different states. Authorities are also looking into possible links to organized crime, with claims of responsibility from individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate.

The incident has highlighted security concerns for film personalities at public and informal gatherings. All Stars Football Club is reportedly in discussions with management and authorities to review and improve its security measures, but no timeline for the return of Sunday matches has been announced.
