Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi Set for November 20 Release; Trailer Launch Confirms Date

Salman Khan’s highly anticipated war drama, now titled Maatrubhumi, is set to hit Indian cinemas on Friday, November 20. The date was confirmed during the film’s trailer launch on November 6 at a multiplex in Mumbai, where the star’s team unveiled the 4‑minute‑43‑second teaser that received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on November 4.

The film, originally announced as Battle Of Galwan, tells the story of the 2020 India‑China border standoff. Production faced hurdles over its content and references to China, a sensitive issue amid improving diplomatic ties between the two nations. After navigating these challenges, the makers finally secured government clearance, allowing the film to move forward.

Initially slated for a November 13 release, delays in obtaining a censor certificate pushed the date back. The production house, Jio Studios, which will handle nationwide distribution, ultimately locked in November 20 as the official launch date, with a secondary option of December 11 still on the table.

Alongside Khan, the cast features Chitrangda Singh in a pivotal role. The film also marks Khan’s return to playback singing after an 11‑year hiatus, with the track “Teri Sexy Beauty” set to appear in the movie’s soundtrack.

Fans can look forward to a full cinematic experience on the big screen, with Jio Studios ensuring a wide release across India. The release of Maatrubhumi is poised to add another blockbuster to Khan’s impressive filmography.
