Actor‑politician Nandamuri Balakrishna sustained a muscle tear during an intense action sequence on the set of the upcoming film NBK 111 in Kakinada, prompting the production team to confirm that he will undergo a minor surgical procedure to ensure a swift recovery. The announcement, posted on social media by the film’s crew, highlighted Balakrishna’s dedication and discipline, assuring fans that the operation is routine and there is no cause for concern.
Balakrishna, who is also the uncle of rising star Jr NTR, received an immediate response from his nephew on X (formerly Twitter). Jr NTR wrote, “Get well soon Bala Babai. Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health. Looking forward to seeing you roar back in full form.” The message was met with enthusiasm from fans, who noted the longstanding rumours of tension between the two.
Other family members and colleagues also voiced their support. Kalyan Ram posted, “Get well soon Babai. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I’m sure you will be back in action in no time, doing what you love the most.” Nara Rohith added, “Wishing Bala Mama a speedy recovery. Your commitment and dedication to cinema are truly unparalleled. Get well soon!”
Balakrishna’s injury comes as the film, slated for release later this year, continues to build momentum. The project, featuring Gopichand Malineni and directed by Koratala Siva, is tentatively titled NBK 111, with a follow‑up NBK 112 already in the pipeline. Fans are eager to see the veteran actor return to the screen after his recent appearances in Daaku Maharaaj and Akhanda 2: Thaandavam.
Jr NTR, who last starred in War 2 in 2025, is currently filming Dragon with Prashanth Neel and has a project based on Lord Murugan with Trivikram Srinivas lined up. The Balakrishna family’s collective resilience and commitment to cinema continue to inspire audiences across the region.
