Diljit Dosanjh rocks Wembley; announces historic 2026 show at India’s biggest stadium

On Saturday, September 12, Punjabi singer‑actor Diljit Dosanjh made history by becoming the first Punjabi artist to headline London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, drawing a full house of 90,000 fans as part of his Aura World Tour. The night was already a milestone for Punjabi music, but the star had an extra surprise for his audience.

During the show, Diljit announced that he will bring his stadium‑scale performance to Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21, 2026. He delivered the news to the Wembley crowd in a moment that sparked cheers and quick social‑media responses from fans in India.

In his set, the artist blended Punjabi hits, rap and hip‑hop, opening with a local twist on his signature line “Punjabi Aa Gaye Wembley Oye!” and closing the night with the emotional track “Main Hoon Punjabi” as fireworks illuminated the arena. His interaction with the audience made the massive venue feel intimate, keeping the crowd engaged throughout.

When discussing the Narendra Modi Stadium, Diljit referenced Coldplay’s recent sell‑out there, saying, “The biggest stadium is in India – Narendra Modi Stadium. A group of white guys (Coldplay) sold out the venue there. Respect to them—huge congratulations. You can’t have a stadium event in India without Punjabis being there; that’s simply impossible.” He then announced the November 2026 date, which was met with loud cheers.

This will be Diljit’s second performance in Ahmedabad, following his Dil‑Luminati India Tour stop on November 17, 2024. Ticket pricing, sale dates and booking details for the 2026 concert have yet to be released.
