Telugu blockbuster ‘Swayambhu’ promises 2,500 CGI shots; rivals Avengers Endgame

Telugu cinema is poised for a visual spectacle with the upcoming film "Swayambhu," starring Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead. The makers claim the movie will feature more than 2,500 CGI shots, a figure that puts it on par with Hollywood blockbusters such as "Avengers: Endgame." The ambitious production is helmed by director Bharat Krishnamachary, produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner, and presented by Tagore Madhu.

Filming spanned 175 days across multiple locations, weaving together historical narratives and legendary tales to recount a war that took place in 985 AD. Siddhartha, who rose to pan‑Indian fame with "Karthikeya 2," will portray a historic warrior in his 20th film. Behind the scenes, the actor’s rigorous preparation for action sequences has already attracted significant attention.

The supporting cast features Samyukta and Nabha Natesh in female lead roles, with Samyukta playing a warrior. Subbaraju and Sunil also join the ensemble. The screenplay is written by director Bharat Krishnamachary, while cinematography is handled by KK Senthil Kumar, music composition by Ravo Basrur, and editing by Thammi Raju.

Production design is led by M Prabhakaran and Raveendar, with Vijay Kamisetty writing the dialogues. Action choreography comes from Stunt Silva and King Solomon, and the film’s lyrics are credited to Ramajogayya Shastri and Shiva Shakti Dutta. Choreographers Vijay Binny and Bhanu, costume designer Anureddy Akkenri, and executive producer BBHR Prasad complete the core team. VFX work is managed by Fantom FX, publicity design by Dhani Elay, and marketing overseen by First Show.

"Swayambhu" will be released worldwide in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam. While the exact release date remains to be announced, the film’s promise of an unprecedented visual experience and a sweeping historical storyline is already generating buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.
