The actress posted images of the week’s festivities, from welcoming the Ganpati idol to performing aarti with her husband, mother‑in‑law Neetu Kapoor and their daughter, Raha. In one frame, Alia is seen holding the idol while Ranbir sings “Ganpati Bappa Morya,” and another shows the family together with Alia’s sister Shaheen and mother Soni Razdan.
A highlight of the posts was a charming picture of little Raha sketching the Ganesh idol on paper and coloring it with crayons. Alia captioned the series with the Hindi phrase “गणपती बाप्पा मोरया,” celebrating the festival’s spirit. Despite the festive mood, the couple has been careful to protect Raha’s privacy, opting to cover her face with a white heart emoji in photos and removing earlier images that included her likeness.
After the festival’s conclusion, the family gathered for the visarjan ceremony. Ranbir, wearing a rust‑orange kurta, carried the idol while Neetu, in a blue kurta set, joined him in chanting. Alia, dressed in a pink‑and‑green kurta suit, held Raha close as the family posed for pictures before heading inside, with Alia walking backward to shield her daughter from flash photography.
Both actors have been busy with upcoming projects. Ranbir is set to star as Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana,” a two‑part epic that will release its first installment this Diwali and the second in 2027. He also has a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War,” slated for next year. Alia recently appeared in the YRF spy film “Alpha” and will soon co‑star in “Love & War” alongside Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal. She also has the sequel to “Tumbbad,” titled “Tumbbad 2,” with Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and has produced the Prime Video series “Don’t Be Shy,” which will stream from September 25.
